Fund for on going Education for Missionaries - 2010

Since the new mission movements after the Independence of India [1947], the Indian Missions have grown large and the missionaries carry the good news of the Gospel to many of the areas of the Indian Society.

There are hundreds of young missionaries eagerly preparing and waiting to have Bible or theological training to grow in the word and be effective in ministry. These young missionaries represent the future global missions’ task force who will take the Gospel to the remaining unreached and unevangelized peoples. Many of these young missionaries cannot afford to pay for their education, due to several factors like.

Those who come from Christian families often come from poor backgrounds.
Those who have converted from other faiths or come from Hindu background cannot expect any kind of assistance from their own families.
Moreover, having a part-time job to help for school is not an option in most of the training institute.

In order to be prepared to meet the need of the continues education (Short or Long term Training) of the missionaries, it is essential to have a Fund for education of missionaries. Being the Network body of 230 mission organizations, IMA has taken the initiative to create this fund so that this will be used at the time of the need of a missionary for his/her education.

This fund will be utilized through the member mission organizations located across India in different parts. IMA has 230 mission organizations as members affiliated and nearly 50,000 missionaries serving in India.

Fund for on going Education for missionaries of INR 1,00,00,000/-

Outcome:

Missionaries will have short and long term training that will help them to contribute more to the mission that will impact this nation.
Missionaries will have an opportunity to upgrade themselves and become capable of addressing to the challenges that the missions have.
